Nothing has recently launched its latest smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), which comes with the new Nothing OS 3.5. One of the most useful new features in this update is the Essential Search Bar.
The Essential Search Bar works like a universal search tool, available in both the App Drawer and Home Screen. It is placed at the bottom of the screen, making it easier to use with one hand.
For example, if you type “YouTube”, it will not only show the app but also give you more actions like:
- Shorts
- Search
- Subscriptions
- App widgets
This feature helps users find apps, actions, and widgets much faster and more easily.
Note: Some features are not enabled yet, such as asking a question in the search bar and getting a direct answer.
If you’re using an older Nothing Phone like the Phone (1), Phone (2),Phone (2a), Phone (3a) or CMF Phones, you can also get this feature. All you need to do is update your Nothing Launcher to the latest version 3.3.4. The update also brings a fresh new look to the App Drawer UI.
