CMF Phone 2 Pro Is Here: AI Boost, Triple Cameras, Essential Key & More
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is a solid step up from its predecessor, with noticeable upgrades in almost every area. The camera setup gets a big boost—going from a single 50MP lens to a triple camera system that includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultra-wide. Even the front camera has been improved for better selfies. On top of that, it comes with a faster processor, a sharper display, better build quality, and runs on the latest Nothing OS 3.0. Overall, it’s a well-rounded upgrade that feels more premium in every way.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro will run on Nothing OS 3.1 or 3.2, bringing in new AI-powered features like AI Eraser and smart battery optimization, though some of it might feel a bit gimmicky. Still, the AI-driven software helps boost performance and stability, aiming to make the overall user experience smoother and more efficient.
One of the most appreciated moves by CMF is including a charger in the box—a rarity these days as most brands continue to remove them. Listening to customer feedback, CMF has added a 33W charger right in the box, making it a smart and user-friendly decision.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is coming with a unique feature called the Essential Key — a smart innovation by Nothing. It’s designed to make daily tasks easier and can be thought of as a supercharged version of Google Reminders.
Here’s how it works: when you press the Essential Key, it takes a screenshot of whatever is on your screen and starts a voice recording. That audio is then transcribed, and using AI, the phone sets a reminder based on what was said, along with the date and time.
Double-clicking the Essential Key brings up your saved reminders. Another recent addition allows you to use the camera to capture an image with the Essential Key, followed by a voice note to set the reminder — a great example of AI being used practically.
Worth noting: Nothing has restricted this button from being reassigned to other apps — it can only be used to trigger the Essential Space app.
