Google is going to reveal the Pixel 9 tomorrow, but today the focus is on the Pixel 8. The most important fact is that Pixel 8 is now being manufactured in India.

Google India proudly shared the news on its X (formerly Twitter) social account that the first Pixel 8 devices made in India have started rolling off the production lines.

There is no difference between the Pixel 8 made in India and those made elsewhere. They’re all the same inside.

Taking about the specs it has a 6.2-inch 120 Hz OLED screen with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, Google Tensor G3 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 256GB of storage, 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 12 MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, 10.5 MP selfie camera, and 4,575 mAh battery that supports 27W wired and 18W wireless charging.

The announcement of Pixel 8’s just 24 hours before the Pixel 9’s unveil is very interesting. Many are hopeful that Google will also move quickly to start producing the Pixel 9 in India.
