Nothing Community Headlines Widget Now Available with New Launcher Updates
Nothing has rolled out in-app updates for the Nothing Launcher and Widgets app. The changes can be seen on the Nothing Launcher, particularly in the widgets and app icons. The changes that one would find would be additions and edits in the number of rows and columns, plus improved alignment for an orderly appearance. Some of the notable changes include adding more rows to provide more space and flexible organization on the home screen, fine-tuning alignment of icons to make things a bit sleeker, and fixing a number of bugs to improve overall UX.
Nothing Communtiy Headlines Widget
This release is most noticeably highlighted by Community Headlines Widget support. This new widget brings the Nothing Community website directly onto your home screen, showing you new posts from the community. It keeps users updated about new posts directly from their home screen. You can just swipe up or down on the widget and see the latest headlines, so it serves conveniently to keep you in touch with the Nothing community.
Nothing Launcher Changes
Currently, these are rolled out for users who are beta program. If you want the updates you need to Participate in the Nothing Launcher and Widgets Beta program.
Look for the Nothing Launcher app in Google Play Store, scroll down to its info page, and join the beta testing program. Once you join, you will have to restart your phone to see updates.
Among these changes, there is an overall reduction in size of the quick settings widget. For example, the Wi-Fi quick setting widget and clock widgets are smaller and provide a cleaner interface. Additionally, multiple icons of apps, including Photos and Play Store, have been enlarged.
For updating the Nothing Widgets app, you need to become a beta tester. Open the app; after opening it, look for updates and install them. The community headlines widget will get refreshed in this update.
To get the community headlines widget, users will need an update to v2.4.0 for the widgets app and v2.6.2 for the launcher app. You can then update and above mentioned procedure and add new Community Headlines Widget on the home screen. This widget shows not only headlines but also corresponding thumbnails. Clicking a headline redirected directly to the Nothing Community Website for detailed information. This widget is resizable; you can make it of any size you prefer. The minimum size for the widget is 2×2 format.
