Nothing Phone (1) Gets Nothing OS 3.0 April Update with Better Camera and New Features

Nothing has released a new software update for the Nothing Phone (1). This update brings Nothing OS 3.0 April version with several improvements and bug fixes. However, the company didn’t send a notification, so users must check manually by going to Settings > System > System Update.

Performance After the Update

The update takes around 16 minutes to install. After the update, the phone works smoothly with no major lag or network issues. The device may feel warm during installation, which is normal.

1. Power Off Verify (Security Feature):
   This was already available in the last update but has been mentioned again. When enabled, the phone will ask for a PIN if someone tries to switch it off while it’s locked. This helps in case of phone theft.
2. Improved Popup View:
   The design of the title bar in popup windows is cleaner now, with better buttons for minimizing or closing the popup.
3. Fingerprint Vibration Control:
   The fingerprint unlock vibration now follows the user’s Touch Feedback settings. If it’s turned off, the vibration won’t happen anymore while unlocking the phone.
4. Camera Performance Improved:
   The camera app version has been updated from 76.00 to 78.00.
   Some users may notice better HDR performance and slightly improved selfie quality, but there is still room for improvement in camera tuning.
