Nothing Phone (3) Gets September 2025 Update: Glyph Mirror, Camera Upgrades & More
Nothing has officially rolled out the September 2025 update for the Nothing Phone (3). The new software comes with Nothing OS 3.5, carrying the build number V3.5-250829-1700. The update has a size of 1.01 GB and introduces fresh features, camera improvements, and several bug fixes aimed at enhancing overall performance.
One of the biggest highlights of this update is the addition of new features to the Glyph Interface. Users now get two new Glyph Toys called Compass and Feed The Fly, which can be accessed under Settings. Nothing has also enabled the much-awaited Glyph Mirror feature inside the Camera app. This allows users to view a live preview of photos and videos on the rear Glyph Matrix, making it easier to take selfies or record vlogs using the main cameras.
The camera system on the Nothing Phone (3) also receives major upgrades with this update. A new preset called Stretch has been introduced, created in collaboration with photographer Jordan Hemingway. This preset offers deeper shadows and extended highlights for more artistic results. The update also improves continuous shooting performance, reduces shutter lag, and enhances colour consistency across all rear cameras. Zoom shots between 6x and 60x now appear sharper, while HDR optimisation delivers more natural brightness and detail in portraits. Additionally, third-party apps such as Messenger benefit from better colour accuracy and improved video quality.
Apart from these, the update brings a range of fixes and optimisations. The vibration intensity in Generative mode ringtones has been adjusted, and playback issues have been resolved. The Stopwatch toy no longer shuts off unexpectedly, and WhatsApp notifications now display correctly on the Glyph Matrix. Issues with resizing the Photo widget, album covers in the Media Player, and Quick Settings tiles have also been fixed. Gamers will notice smoother touch response while playing Minecraft, while general improvements to system stability, Wi-Fi reliability, and call quality make the device more consistent in daily use.
Finally, the update includes the September 2025 Android security patch, ensuring the Nothing Phone (3) stays protected against the latest threats. With all these improvements, the new update not only boosts performance but also adds more fun and useful features for users.
