Stable Nothing OS 3.0 Update Rolls Out for Nothing Phone (2a) Plus

The highly anticipated stable version of Nothing OS 3.0 is now officially available for Nothing Phone (2a) Plus users. This update, powered by Android 15, introduces an array of exciting features and improvements designed to enhance user experience.

The update is available in two sizes:

• 121 MB for users who were part of the beta program.
• 1.72 GB for non-beta users upgrading directly to the stable version.

The build version is PacmanPro-V3.0-241226-1537, marking a major leap forward in performance and functionality.

What’s New in Nothing OS 3.0?

Shared Widgets

A unique feature that allows users to stay connected with friends and family in an innovative way.

• Add shared widgets to your home screen to see updates from others in real-time.
• Interact with these widgets using reactions for a more personal touch.

Currently supported only between Nothing devices, with the feature limited to Photo Widgets (square) for now. More widget support is under development.

Note: Shared Widgets are still in beta, so occasional glitches may occur.

Lock Screen Customization

• A revamped lock screen customization page can now be accessed by long-pressing the lock screen or navigating through the Customization settings.
• Choose from a variety of new clock face styles to personalize your lock screen.
• Expanded widget space lets users add more widgets to the lock screen, boosting functionality.

Smarter App Drawer

• AI-Powered Smart Drawer automatically organizes apps into folders for easier navigation.
• Pin your favorite apps to the top of the app drawer for quick and convenient access.

Enhanced Pop-Up View for Multitasking

• Users can now drag pop-up windows to any position on the screen.
• Resize pop-up views effortlessly by dragging the bottom corners.
• Notifications can be swiped down into pop-up views, enabling multitasking without leaving the current app.
• The feature can be enabled via Settings > Special Features > Pop-Up View.

Refreshed Design Elements

• Redesigned Quick Settings and an optimized shortcut-editing experience.
• Updated widget library with a refreshed look and support for third-party widgets.
• Enhanced Settings UI, where network and Bluetooth options now display current connections.
• New Dot animations for fingerprint unlocking and charging.
