Nothing has started rolling out a new software update for the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite in India. This update is based on Nothing OS 3.5 and was released in December, but it does not include a new Android security patch. The update comes with the build number Galaxian-V3.5-251212-1008-IND and has a small download size of 29.88 MB, indicating that it mainly focuses on minor improvements.
One of the key changes in this update is related to Lock Glimpse. After installing the update, Lock Glimpse is turned off by default. Even if the feature was previously enabled, it will be automatically disabled once the update is completed. This suggests Nothing is making some adjustments to how the feature behaves by default.
Apart from this, the update brings overall system stability improvements. Nothing says it has fixed a few known bugs, which should help in delivering a smoother and more stable day-to-day experience for users.
Although this update is released in December, it is worth noting that no new Android security patch is included with this release. The update is being rolled out in phases and may take some time to reach all Nothing Phone (3a) Lite users. Users can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > Software update.
Apart from this, Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite will receive the Nothing OS 4.0 update based on Android 16 in early 2026, most likely in January.
