Circle to Search on Samsung Devices Now Identifies Music Around You

Samsung recently brought Circle to Search and now taking another significant step with its mid-range A series devices. Samsung has now added a new feature music recognition feature to its devices. This feature works similarly to Shazam, but inside Circle to Search.
This new addition is available on Samsung devices with Circle to Search and version 15.32.37.28 of the Google app, which powers Circle to Search. However, it’s important to note that not all Samsung devices with Circle to Search that have that specific Google app version will immediately receive the new feature, as this is a Google-led rollout.

The rollout seems to be controlled by a server-side switch from Google. This means it might take some time for the company to flip the switch for every Samsung device with Circle to Search receive this new feature.
Once you get the update, activating Circle to Search will reveal a new button with a music note icon. By tapping it, the feature will identify the music somewhere near you or on your device. It even works if you sing or hum the tune.
Is this the end of Shazam? This is another way to do what it does, but it’s built into a feature that a lot of people already have on their devices.

Samsung May Reveal Tri-Fold Device at Galaxy Unpacked on July 9

Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones on July 9, 2025, during the Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York. The event will start at 7:30 PM IST, and fans in India can watch the livestream on Samsung India’s website or the company’s YouTube channel.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 Set to Launch
Samsung is expected to launch two new foldable phones — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to leaks shared by tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), the Z Fold 7 will have a slimmer design and a thicker camera setup. It will also bring back the hole-punch selfie camera on the inner screen, a design last seen in the Z Fold 2.

Samsung has described the new Fold as “thinner, lighter, and more durable” than before. The phone will also feature Galaxy AI for a smarter and more personalized experience. Samsung says AI will play a big role in the phone’s software, stating that “AI will become UI.”
The Z Fold 7 Ultra is also expected to launch soon, featuring advanced AI features, voice controls, and a design that blends “artistry and engineering.” It will bring Galaxy S24 Ultra-like capabilities to a foldable format.
Samsung Z Flip 7 May Use Samsung’s Own Chip
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 could come with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip, replacing the usual Snapdragon processor. This is part of Samsung’s dual-chip strategy. The Flip 7 may also include:
- A larger 4-inch cover screen
- ProVisual Engine for better performance
- New case designs
- OLED screen with better power efficiency
Samsung may also launch a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a more affordable version for budget buyers.
Galaxy G Fold: Samsung’s First Tri-Fold Device
Apart from the Z series, Samsung may also show off a new tri-fold device called the Galaxy G Fold. This phone can fold into three parts and may be revealed at the event — but it is expected to launch officially in October. Samsung has used a similar preview strategy before, like it did with the Galaxy S25 Edge.
Galaxy Watch 8 and XR Headset Teased
At the event, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 8 series and tease its upcoming XR headset, called Project Moohan.
Pre-Reservations Open in India
Samsung has started pre-reservations in India for its new devices. Customers can pay Rs 1,999 to reserve early access and enjoy benefits worth up to Rs 5,999 when they buy the devices after launch.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 Expected to Arrive with One UI 8 Based on Android 16

Samsung is planning to launch its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones with the latest One UI 8 software right out of the box. This new version of Samsung’s software will be based on Android 16.
Last year, Samsung faced criticism for the slow rollout of One UI 7. Many users had to wait for over six months after Android 15 was released to get the stable update. But according to a new report from SamMobile, Samsung is looking to improve things this time.
Google usually releases new Android versions in the second half of the year. The new Galaxy foldable phones are expected to launch between late July and early August, so the timing matches well.

This move is a bit surprising, as Samsung usually ships new phones with the current version of One UI and adds new features later. If the Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch with One UI 8, it could also mean that the Galaxy S24 and the upcoming Galaxy S25 series might get the One UI 8 update earlier than expected.
Google is expected to release the stable version of Android 16 around June or July this year. This means Samsung might launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 just a few days or weeks after Android 16 becomes official.

Galaxy S25 Series to Have Free Gemini Advanced Subscription

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is set to be revealed at a Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025. While full details are yet to be confirmed, leaks and rumors have started to stir excitement. The latest speculation points to a potential partnership between Samsung and Google.
Free Gemini Advanced Subscription with Galaxy S25 Series?
A recent teardown of the Google app (version 15.52.37 beta) by Android Authority has uncovered clues suggesting that Samsung might include free Gemini Advanced subscriptions with the Galaxy S25 series. This means that when purchasing a Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, or S25 Ultra, users could get a free trial of Google’s Gemini Advanced AI service.
According to the report, the length of the free trial might vary depending on the model:
- Galaxy S25: Three months of free Gemini Advanced
- Galaxy S25 Plus: Six months of free Gemini Advanced
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: One year of free Gemini Advanced

- While this information is based on code found in the app and hasn’t been officially confirmed, the offer sounds promising. If true, it would follow Samsung’s previous collaboration with Circle to Search on the Galaxy S24 series.
Additional Features of the Galaxy S25 Series
In addition to the possible Gemini Advanced trial, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to feature enhanced AI capabilities thanks to the latest One UI 7 operating system. Other rumored features include practical additions like Car Crash Detection, which would improve user safety.
Launch Date?
As the launch date nears, more details about the Galaxy S25 series are expected to surface. Based on current leaks, the release is likely to happen on January 22, 2025, with more updates expected in the coming weeks.
