Circle to Search on Samsung Devices Now Identifies Music Around You
Samsung recently brought Circle to Search and now taking another significant step with its mid-range A series devices. Samsung has now added a new feature music recognition feature to its devices. This feature works similarly to Shazam, but inside Circle to Search.
This new addition is available on Samsung devices with Circle to Search and version 15.32.37.28 of the Google app, which powers Circle to Search. However, it’s important to note that not all Samsung devices with Circle to Search that have that specific Google app version will immediately receive the new feature, as this is a Google-led rollout.
The rollout seems to be controlled by a server-side switch from Google. This means it might take some time for the company to flip the switch for every Samsung device with Circle to Search receive this new feature.
Once you get the update, activating Circle to Search will reveal a new button with a music note icon. By tapping it, the feature will identify the music somewhere near you or on your device. It even works if you sing or hum the tune.
Is this the end of Shazam? This is another way to do what it does, but it’s built into a feature that a lot of people already have on their devices.

Samsung Introduces Quantum5 Smartphone Featuring Advanced Security through Quantum Technology
Samsung has introduced a smartphone that is the Galaxy Quantum5 which was developed in collaboration with SK Telecom exclusively for the South Korean market. This means the device cannot be purchased outside of South Korea. The phone is made possible with the other partnership of ID Quantique (IDQ). The company is responsible for the advanced quantum cryptographic chip.
The key feature of the chip is its Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) chip. This chip uses quantum physics to produce truly random numbers for encrypting and decrypting sensitive data like biometrics and passwords. Android 14 & One UI 6.1 Now Rolling Out to Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite might have reached the end of its software update roadmap since it has just received its third and last OS upgrade. After an earlier update to One UI 6.0, which occurred in the early days of this year, the tablet, launched originally with Android 11 in the middle of 2021, was treated to the new Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update in South Korea.
This comes with the firmware version T225NKOU8EXH2 and includes the July 2024 security patch, bringing new features intrinsic to Android 14 and One UI 6.1.
While most Samsung devices have already received this latest update of One UI 6.1, some even await the 6.1.1 version; the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has been somewhat behind schedule. On the other hand, it’s pretty surprising that this low-priority, low-budget tablet got a third major software update.
Since this update is currently rolling out in South Korea, it might take a little while longer for users in other regions to get it, but it will.
