Motorola Android 15 Smartphones

All smartphone users are very excited about the upcoming updates when Android 15 is about to launch, with a quite different face to the addition of more features. It is also expected that the stable version of this operating system will be launched later this year and will be the last major update for many Motorola smartphones.

Final Update for Motorola Devices

Android 15 is going to be the last big OS update for a large number of Motorola devices; this increment usually sits at the end of a timeline that millions of devices reach every year across the world. The following Motorola smartphones are among those for which it will become imperative to upgrade in case users wish to continue receiving any new software updates:

  • Moto G13
  • Moto G14
  • Moto G23
  • Moto G53
  • Moto G54
  • Moto G54 Power
  • Moto G73
  • Moto G84
  • Moto G Play (2024)
  • Moto G Power 5G
  • Moto G (202
  • Moto G Stylus 5G (2023)
  • Moto G Stylus (2023)
  • Moto E14

Motorola has not announced any official device list that will get the Android 15 update. The above list is unofficial, created based on Motorola’s software update policy and historic rollout patterns of devices.

Motorola Update Policy

Generally, Motorola offers three Android updates for its high-end Edge and Razr phones starting in 2023. Older phones, however, only have two. More budget-oriented lines of Moto G usually get two OS updates, while the entry-level E series only gets one.

Android 15 Expected Rollout

Android 15 is approaching its stable release, marking the final phase of the platform stability process before the OS release. As per schedule, Google traditionally rolls out a stable version of the new OS around October, following the beta clocks of the previous year.

While Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and Vivo have already announced their Android 15 beta programs, Motorola is yet to make any announcement regarding participation. The company doesn’t have a good history when it comes to software updates, with it mostly lagging behind competitors in pushing new Android versions.

For Motorola users, Android 15 will start rolling out at the end of this year or early next year. If your device won’t get this update, now is a good time to think about upgrading to keep getting new software features and security updates.
