Camera Enhancements for Better Photography

One of the key highlights of this update is the improvement in camera performance. Users can expect better image clarity at higher zoom levels, making it easier to capture detailed shots even when zooming in. Additionally, color accuracy has been fine-tuned in specific scenarios, ensuring that images appear more natural and true to life.

For users who frequently take selfies or use portrait mode, the background blur effect in front-camera portrait mode has been enhanced. This improvement helps create a more professional-looking depth effect, making subjects stand out better against the background.

Nothing Phone Users Can Now Customize Glyph Alerts with This New App

Nothing Glyph Notification App

Nothing Phone users now have an exciting new way to customize their experience with the Nothing Glyph App. This app allows users to personalize Glyph notifications for different apps, enhancing the functionality of the unique LED lights on the back of Nothing Phones.

A Community-Made Innovation

The Nothing community has always been creative, and this new app is proof of that. A dedicated user has developed the Nothing Glyph Notification app, which was recently mentioned in a tweet by Rob Godwin, a team member of the Nothing team. The app is currently in closed beta, but early testers have shared positive feedback.

How Does It Work?

The Nothing Glyph App lets users assign specific Glyph light patterns to different notifications. For example, users can set a unique light animation for messages from their favorite apps, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and BGMI (PUBG Mobile). Whenever a notification arrives, the assigned Glyph light will activate, making it easy to identify important alerts even when the phone is placed face down.

I tried this app on the Nothing Phone (2), and it worked perfectly without any issues.

Key Features:

  • Assign custom Glyph light patterns for specific apps.
  • Keeps notifications visible even when the phone is locked.
  • Bedtime mode allows users to schedule when Glyph lights should turn off.

Limitations and Future Updates

While the app offers great customization, some users have pointed out that lights stay on until notifications are checked. A future update could include a blinking option or more customization settings. Additionally, support for more Nothing Phone models is expected in upcoming versions.

How to Try the Nothing Glyph App

Currently, the app is available as a beta version in the Nothing Community. If you’re interested in trying it out, stay tuned for an official release or check the community forums for updates.

This new Nothing Glyph App is a great way for users to make the most of their Nothing Phone’s Glyph interface. Let us know in the comments—would you use this app?

Nothing Gallery big update

Nothing has released a new update for its Nothing Gallery app, and it seems to be a big one. The update size is 41MB, which suggests some important changes. But what exactly is new in this update? Let’s find out.

How to Update the Nothing Gallery App

To get this update, go to the Google Play Store, tap on your profile, then go to My Apps & Games. If the update is available, you will see it under the Updates section. You can also search for “Nothing Gallery” in the Play Store to find the update manually.

What’s New in the Update?

Surprisingly, the official “What’s New” section in the Play Store does not mention any major changes. However, after updating, one noticeable change is in the video playback feature.

New Video Playback Change

  • The seek bar (the bar that shows video progress) has been redesigned.
  • Previously, it looked different and allowed easy forward and backward scrolling.
  • Now, the new version has a simpler seek bar design.

Other than this, no major changes are visible in the app. The editing feature is still missing, meaning users will still need Google Photos for editing.

Is This Update a Joke?

Some users feel that Nothing may have released this update as a prank, possibly related to April Fool’s Day, because the update doesn’t bring any major improvements.

What About Future Updates?

The Nothing Gallery app still lacks full features like editing, and it feels like an unfinished product. However, Nothing might release the final version when the Nothing Phone (3) series launches, possibly around June or July.

For now, if you own a Nothing Phone (2a) or older, you cannot set Nothing Gallery as the default gallery app. Only the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) series is expected to have it as the default.

Final Thoughts

This update might not be as big as expected, but it does improve some aspects of the app, like video playback. Hopefully, Nothing will bring more features soon, especially photo editing tools.

Would you prefer the old video seek bar or the new one? Let us know your thoughts!
