The OnePlus Ace 5 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset; its an upgrade from the Ace 3, which had the 8 Gen 2. If you’re thinking why there’s no Ace 4, it’s because of tetraphobia.
According to Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will be used for the vanilla model, while the Ace 5 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset SoC. Both the models will have batteries of 6,000 mAh, flat metal frames on sides, optical fingerprint sensors, and a high-quality 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED screen made by BOE.
Both phones will support a 50 MP main rear camera and two additional cameras but they won’t feature a periscope telephoto camera, which is reserved for OnePlus’s flagship series.
The Ace 5 Pro might remain exclusive to the Chinese market, but the Ace 5 is expected to be sold internationally under the name OnePlus 13R. It will likely launch alongside the OnePlus 13, following the pattern of the Ace 3, which was released outside China as the OnePlus 12R.
