Redmi Note 12 5G Gets Massive HyperOS August Update in India; Fixes App Launch Delays
Multiple Xiaomi, Redmi, & POCO series devices have already received the latest HyperOS 1.5 BIG OTA updates with August security patch across multiple regions. Now, the HyperOS 1.5 August update is rolling out for the Redmi Note 12 5G users in Indian region which brings significant improvements and bug fixes.

The tech giant is rolling out a new HyperOS update for the Redmi Note 12 5G device in Indian region. The new update is rolling out with 1.0.4.0.UMQINXM build number and the size of the update is 328 MB. Main highlights of the updates are the latest HyperOS August 2024 Android security patch level for Redmi Note 12 5G users in India and optimization in several system-related features such as fast app opening and closing animations with smoothness.

Moreover, this update promises to fix app launch delays on Redmi Note 12 5G devices which is a great step. This update also fixes single line notification icons where they were not fully displayed and the problem of blank notifications has been fixed with the update.
Apart from this, the problem of 5G icon not displayed fully after changing font or theme has been fixed with the update. This update promises to bring a stable experience throughout the system as HyperOS 1.5 mainly focuses on optimization of the device. Here is the detailed changelog of the update.

Xiaomi Pad 7 & 7 Pro Full Specs Leaked: Should You Be Excited?
Xiaomi is preparing to launch two new tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. The key specifications for both devices were recently leaked in China. These new models are meant to replace the Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro, which were introduced in April 2023. They will not serve as successors to the Pad 6S Pro.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It will also support 45W wired charging. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. This version will feature faster 67W wired charging.
Both the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro will share a similar 11.16-inch LCD screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 6S Pro will remain on sale as Xiaomi’s top-tier tablet. There’s no confirmed launch date for the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro yet, but they might be unveiled as soon as Xiaomi announces the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro smartphones later this month.

Android 15 is the Last Update for These Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO Devices
Android 15 is now available for Pixel devices with new features and improvements. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is currently testing HyperOS 2.0 Android 15 beta version in China for some selected devices but there are some selected models which will receive Android 15 as their last Major Android update.
The upcoming HyperOS 2.0 will be based on Android 15 and Android 14 versions. The latest models will receive Android 15 along with HyperOS 2.0 update while there are some other devices which will get Android 15 as their last update because of their update policy. Xiaomi Launches HyperOS 2.0 Experience Enhanced Version Beta in China for 3 Devices
Xiaomi is all set to unveil it’s upcoming HyperOS 2.0 version for Xiaomi phones along with Xiaomi 15 Series in China next month. This new version will bring some new features and improvements for users that will enhance the overall user-experience.

The tech giant has finally launched a new HyperOS 2.0 Experience Enhanced version beta for 3 Xiaomi phones in China yesterday. This version will be available for some selected models to test the upcoming HyperOS 2.0 features in beta stages. Xiaomi aims to provide users a better and bug-free experience through this new beta version.

In terms of features, HyperOS 2.0 will bring a new revamped control center, new improved smooth animations, better app opening and closing speed, Android 15 features, and a new launcher with Pile Up Feature.

Currently, there are 3 models which are eligible for this new HyperOS 2.0 Enhanced version in China.

But, according to Xiaomi, they will add more devices in the coming weeks. The HyperOS 2.0 beta update will test the upcoming new features and fix the bugs.
How to Participate in Beta Program?
The process is quite simple to join the HyperOS 2.0 beta version. You just need Xiaomi community China app to participate:
- Open the Xiaomi Community app on your device.
- Go to My/My internal test.
- Tap on Experience Enhanced Beta Internal Test and follow all the on-screen instructions carefully.
Note: Users can apply for the beta testing from September 13, 2024 to September 17, 2024. Make sure to apply in the given time if you are intrested.
