The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is set to be revealed at a Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025. While full details are yet to be confirmed, leaks and rumors have started to stir excitement. The latest speculation points to a potential partnership between Samsung and Google.
Free Gemini Advanced Subscription with Galaxy S25 Series?
A recent teardown of the Google app (version 15.52.37 beta) by Android Authority has uncovered clues suggesting that Samsung might include free Gemini Advanced subscriptions with the Galaxy S25 series. This means that when purchasing a Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, or S25 Ultra, users could get a free trial of Google’s Gemini Advanced AI service.
According to the report, the length of the free trial might vary depending on the model:
- Galaxy S25: Three months of free Gemini Advanced
- Galaxy S25 Plus: Six months of free Gemini Advanced
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: One year of free Gemini Advanced

- While this information is based on code found in the app and hasn’t been officially confirmed, the offer sounds promising. If true, it would follow Samsung’s previous collaboration with Circle to Search on the Galaxy S24 series.
Additional Features of the Galaxy S25 Series
In addition to the possible Gemini Advanced trial, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to feature enhanced AI capabilities thanks to the latest One UI 7 operating system. Other rumored features include practical additions like Car Crash Detection, which would improve user safety.
Launch Date?
As the launch date nears, more details about the Galaxy S25 series are expected to surface. Based on current leaks, the release is likely to happen on January 22, 2025, with more updates expected in the coming weeks.

Samsung has officially confirmed that its newly launched Galaxy S26 series supports satellite communication. The lineup includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, and all three devices come with this important connectivity feature.
Earlier, Samsung did not clearly mention satellite support during the launch event, which created confusion among users. Now, the company has confirmed that satellite communication is available on the Galaxy S26 series as part of its efforts to improve user safety and connectivity.
What Satellite Communication Means
Satellite communication allows users to send messages, access limited data services, and contact emergency services even when traditional mobile networks are unavailable. This feature can be especially useful in remote areas, mountains, or during natural disasters where normal network coverage may fail.
Samsung says expanding satellite connectivity shows its commitment to providing reliable communication when users need it the most.
Won-Joon Choi, President and COO of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, stated that satellite connectivity is becoming an important part of modern smartphones, and Samsung aims to stay at the forefront of wireless innovation through partnerships with global telecom companies.
Global Partnerships for Satellite Support
Samsung is working with multiple telecom operators across different regions to enable satellite communication services.
- United States: Samsung has partnered with Verizon to provide emergency SOS and text services on Galaxy flagship devices starting from the S25 series. The company is also working with AT&T, while T-Mobile supports satellite text and data services on select Galaxy flagship and Galaxy A series phones launched after the Galaxy S21 lineup.
- Europe: Samsung is collaborating with Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone to bring satellite communication support to selected Galaxy smartphones. Trials with MasOrange in Spain are expected to begin in March.
- Japan: Samsung previously partnered with KDDI to offer satellite-based messaging, data services, and the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning System (ETWS). The company is also working with SoftBank, Docomo, and Rakuten Mobile to expand satellite features on Galaxy smartphones.
Focus on Safety and Connectivity
With satellite communication becoming a key smartphone feature, Samsung aims to provide users with uninterrupted communication, especially in emergency situations. The addition of this feature to the Galaxy S26 series strengthens Samsung’s push toward safer and more reliable mobile experiences worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Reveals Major Upgrades Ahead of Launch

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to arrive with Qualcomm’s next flagship chip—the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2—according to leaked firmware files. It will also ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 right out of the box.
This lines up with a recent report from tipster Ice Universe which highlighted Samsung’s new strategy. Under this approach foldable phones receive the newest One UI version first and then it gets refined for the Galaxy S series.
The leaked firmware was found on Samsung’s own server suggesting the company is already testing One UI 8.5 for the S26 lineup.
The firmware includes the serial number PMK8850 which likely belongs to Snapdragon’s next-gen chip. For comparison the Galaxy S25 Ultra used the Snapdragon 8 Elite which had the 8750 serial number. So it’s quite likely that the S26 Ultra will continue using Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset.
However not all models in the Galaxy S26 series may use Snapdragon. The regular Galaxy S26 and S26+ are expected to feature Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor. This chip is said to offer strong CPU and GPU performance. Another report claims that Samsung has also found a way to improve the Exynos 2600’s cooling which could make it more reliable.
