Google Opens Access to Imagen 3 AI Image Generator Across the US
Now, Google’s Imagen 3 AI image generator is available to all users within the United States. The release for this advanced text-to-image creator was made at the 2024 I/O event; now, silent access expansion has been introduced after launching Pixel 9.
Earlier, Imagen 3 was only available through the Vertex AI development platform and a private preview; now, following the upgrade, US users will get a chance to play around with the next-generation image generator on Google’s AI Test Kitchen.
In a paper posted on arxiv.org, a Google research team wrote, “We introduce Imagen 3, a latent diffusion model that generates high-quality images from text prompts. Imagen 3 is preferred over other state-of-the-art models at the time of evaluation.”
The Pixel Studio app by Pixel 9 is powered by Imagen 3 AI platform. The application allows users to create images using only text. It offers on-device AI picture editing, thus making it easier and much faster for users to enhance photos.
While the Pixel 9 ships out of the box with Imagen 3, that doesn’t mean people have to buy that device to get it. According to the company, the solution is supposed to reach more users over time. It is also foreseen that this result of Imagen 3 will be integrated into Samsung’s future Android 15-based One UI 7 update.
The company claimed it “significantly improved” the tool’s understanding of prompts. Then, it will be offered in a dedicated form to return better and more relevant results in tasks targeting quick sketches and high-resolution pictures.
Apple is reportedly testing two new color options for its upcoming iPhone 17. According to a recent report, the company is working on Purple and Green versions of the regular iPhone 17. However, it seems that only one of these colors will be released. For now, Purple is said to be the leading choice.
In addition to this, Apple is also said to be considering a new Sky Blue color for the iPhone 17 Pro. This is likely aimed at bringing a fresh look to the Pro lineup.
While new colors always catch the attention of iPhone fans, many are even more excited about the expected display upgrades. However, these models are not expected to include ProMotion features, which will continue to be limited to the Pro versions.

The company has launched its Community Review Program for two of its most awaited products — the Nothing Phone (3) and the Headphone (1). The Phone (3) will be Nothing’s first true flagship smartphone, while the Headphone (1) will mark the brand’s entry into over-ear headphones. With the launch just around the corner, this program gives creators a chance to experience these devices before anyone else.
Selected participants in the program will receive one of these devices on loan. Nothing is getting ready to launch its first over-the-ear headphones, called Nothing Headphone (1). These new headphones will be unveiled on July 1, alongside the Nothing Phone (3).
We now have the best look yet at the Nothing Headphone (1) as someone leaked it. As expected from Nothing, the design is different from other headphones.
The standout feature is the two-part earcup design. The top part is an oval-shaped module covered in transparent plastic, sitting on a metallic plate with squared corners. This design is very different from the smooth, round look of other popular headphones like Sony’s WH-1000XM6 or Apple’s AirPods Max.
Some hands-on photos have also appeared online. The real-life images show the headphones with two buttons on the side and one button on the outer earcup. We can also see a 3.5mm cable attached, which means the headphones will support wired connections as well as wireless.
One exciting detail is that the audio of the Headphone (1) will be tuned by KEF, a well-known British company famous for its high-quality speakers and headphones.
There is no detailed information yet about the technical features, but pricing has leaked. The Nothing Headphone (1) is expected to cost $299 in the US, €299 in Europe and Rs. 19,000-Rs. 20,000. Sales are likely to begin on September 30, about two months after the official launch. Buyers will be able to choose between Black and White colors.
Akis, Co-founder of Nothing, said on X (formerly Twitter) that the Headphone (1) will launch in India at the same time as the global launch.
