OnePlus Adds AI Eraser for Smarter Photo Editing on Select Smartphones

Published

OnePlus AI Eraser

OnePlus has launched an exciting AI Eraser feature for its latest smartphone models including OnePlus 11, 12, 12R, and Nord 3. To use this feature, users must update their AI Service Engine to the latest version, which includes a significant Algorithm plugin update of 370MB for OnePlus 11.

We have recently seen this feature in the newly launched OnePlus Nord 4. The company always prioritizes its latest smartphones because people are likely to purchase them for their AI features.

Once updated, users can navigate to the Photos app, select a photo, and choose the AI Eraser option under the edit settings. This feature offers several tools such as Smart Lasso, Paint Over, and Remove People, enabling users to remove unwanted elements from their photos effortlessly.

The AI Eraser works by selecting the area or object to be removed, and with a simple tap, the unwanted element disappears, almost like magic. The feature is especially handy for removing people who accidentally photobomb your pictures or clearing clutter from the background to enhance the photo’s focus.

However, the effectiveness of the AI Eraser can vary. While it often works perfectly, sometimes it might not deliver the desired results, and the areas around the removed objects may not blend seamlessly with the rest of the image. OnePlus has noted that the feature is powered by AI, and enhancements are likely to be made in future updates.

Overall, the AI Eraser is a powerful tool that adds significant value to OnePlus smartphones, offering users a new level of control over their mobile photography. It simplifies photo editing, providing a clean, desired look with just a few taps.

OnePlus Pad Lite Onleaks

OnePlus recently launched its powerful OnePlus Pad 3 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Now, a new rumor suggests that the company’s next tablet will be called the OnePlus Pad Lite.

According to the leak, the OnePlus Pad Lite will be powered by the Helio G100 processor. It will run on Android 15 with OxygenOS 15.0.1 on top. The tablet is said to feature an 11-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which should provide smooth scrolling and better visuals.

Inside, the OnePlus Pad Lite will pack a large 9,340 mAh battery, although details about its charging speed are still unknown. The device is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Other memory options might be announced later.

OnePlus 11 April OxygenOS 2025 Update

The OnePlus 11 5G is getting the OxygenOS 15 April 2025 update. The update comes with the software version CPH2447_15.0.0.800(EX01) and has a download size of 937.15 MB. It brings several new features, improvements, and bug fixes to enhance the overall user experience.

What’s New in this update?

One of the major additions in this update is partial screen recording. Users can now choose a specific area of the screen to record, rather than recording the entire screen. This is useful for making focused tutorials or short clips without showing everything on the display.

The update also adds support for file sharing between the OnePlus 11 and Mac devices. You can now view your phone files directly on your Mac and easily transfer files between the two devices. This improves interconnection and makes file management more convenient for users who use both platforms.

Another new feature is the stack view layout for the Recent Tasks screen. This can give a cleaner and more organized look when switching between apps. If you prefer the old style, you can disable this feature by going to Settings > Home screen & Lock screen > Recent tasks manager.

In addition, the update improves gesture recognition for floating windows, making them easier to close. It also enhances the visual appearance by adding better shadow effects around these floating windows, giving a smoother and more polished look.

Lastly, the update includes the April 2025 Android security patch, which helps improve system security and keep your device protected.

If you own a OnePlus 11, it’s recommended to check for the new update by going to Settings > System > System Updates and install it for the latest improvements.

OnePlus 11 Bug? My Photos Disappear After I Take Them

OnePlus 11 Photo Save Issue

I’ve recently noticed a strange issue with my OnePlus 11. A few times, I’ve taken a photo—usually to remember something important—and while the shutter sound goes off and it looks like the photo was taken, it never appears in my gallery.

What’s even more confusing is that I clearly remember the photo being captured, but it just vanishes. This has been happening occasionally since the beginning of this year.

I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. It could be a bug in the camera app, an issue with the gallery, or something deeper in the system software. So far, I haven’t seen any official response from OnePlus about this.

If anyone else is facing the same issue, I’d recommend keeping your phone updated and trying a third-party gallery app to check if the photo gets saved elsewhere. Clearing the camera or gallery cache might help too.
