OxygenOS 15 Beta

OnePlus is almost ready to release the OxygenOS 15 beta update based on Android 15. This new version comes loaded with many improvements that will upgrade the whole user experience.

What’s New in OxygenOS 15?

Dynamic Notifications: It’s a feature taken out from Apple’s book; OnePlus is going to bring a Dynamic Island-like element that will facilitate subtle notifications and other useful information without disturbing the user from ongoing activities.

Revamped Control Center: It will give the Control Center a new look to make it easier and more intuitive.

File Sharing and Live Photos: Drawing inspiration from Apple’s AirDrop and Live Photos, the former will allow users to share files at faster speeds, while the latter adds further dynamics to image capture and thus more versatility to the system.

AI Improvements: Artificial intelligence will significantly improve camera performance, give customized recommendations, and bring increased efficiency in battery management.

Sleek New Design: OxygenOS 15 is going to sport a cleaner, classier user interface.

Faster Updates: OnePlus will increase the frequency at which new Android versions and security patches are made available to devices, ensuring their safety and updating capabilities.

Gaming Improvements: Higher refresh rates and improved touch response for gamers will be provided to make OnePlus smartphones more responsive and smoother for gaming.

Enhanced Privacy: This will be one of the primary action items to ensure user data protection, thereby delivering privacy and security.

Extended Customization: Additional options for further customization of devices according to users’ taste and other preferences will be added.

What We Still Don’t Know

OnePlus 11 April OxygenOS 2025 Update

The OnePlus 11 5G is getting the OxygenOS 15 April 2025 update. The update comes with the software version CPH2447_15.0.0.800(EX01) and has a download size of 937.15 MB. It brings several new features, improvements, and bug fixes to enhance the overall user experience.

What’s New in this update?

One of the major additions in this update is partial screen recording. Users can now choose a specific area of the screen to record, rather than recording the entire screen. This is useful for making focused tutorials or short clips without showing everything on the display.

The update also adds support for file sharing between the OnePlus 11 and Mac devices. You can now view your phone files directly on your Mac and easily transfer files between the two devices. This improves interconnection and makes file management more convenient for users who use both platforms.

Another new feature is the stack view layout for the Recent Tasks screen. This can give a cleaner and more organized look when switching between apps. If you prefer the old style, you can disable this feature by going to Settings > Home screen & Lock screen > Recent tasks manager.

In addition, the update improves gesture recognition for floating windows, making them easier to close. It also enhances the visual appearance by adding better shadow effects around these floating windows, giving a smoother and more polished look.

Lastly, the update includes the April 2025 Android security patch, which helps improve system security and keep your device protected.

If you own a OnePlus 11, it’s recommended to check for the new update by going to Settings > System > System Updates and install it for the latest improvements.

OnePlus 11 Bug? My Photos Disappear After I Take Them

OnePlus 11 Photo Save Issue

I’ve recently noticed a strange issue with my OnePlus 11. A few times, I’ve taken a photo—usually to remember something important—and while the shutter sound goes off and it looks like the photo was taken, it never appears in my gallery.

What’s even more confusing is that I clearly remember the photo being captured, but it just vanishes. This has been happening occasionally since the beginning of this year.

I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. It could be a bug in the camera app, an issue with the gallery, or something deeper in the system software. So far, I haven’t seen any official response from OnePlus about this.

If anyone else is facing the same issue, I’d recommend keeping your phone updated and trying a third-party gallery app to check if the photo gets saved elsewhere. Clearing the camera or gallery cache might help too.

OnePlus 13T

OnePlus is getting ready to launch its next smartphone, the OnePlus 13T, and the company has started sharing some exciting details. The phone is expected to launch in April in China, and it promises powerful features packed in a compact design.

Flat Display and New Button Revealed

According to OnePlus China’s President Li Jie, the OnePlus 13T will come with a flat OLED display, which will appeal to users who prefer a sleek and simple screen. But the biggest surprise is a new physical shortcut key on the left side of the phone, replacing the old Alert Slider.

This shortcut button won’t just switch between silent, vibrate, and ring modes. It can also be customized to perform different tasks, like launching apps or turning on features quickly. Li Jie also hinted that this button will have a fun and interesting feature, with more details to be revealed soon.

Powerful Specs and Big Battery

The OnePlus 13T is rumored to be the same device as the Oppo PKX1100, which recently appeared on Chinese certification websites. The phone reportedly scored over 3 million points on AnTuTu, which shows strong performance.

Here are the leaked specifications:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
  • 16GB LPDDR5x RAM
  • 512GB UFS 4.0 storage
  • 120Hz OLED screen
  • Android 15

The device is also said to feature a large 6,000mAh to 6,200mAh battery, all packed into a body weighing just 185 grams. It may support 80W fast charging, but wireless charging might not be included.

Display, Camera, and Design

The OnePlus 13T will have a 6.31-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. On the back, it will have two 50-megapixel cameras – one main sensor and one telephoto lens with 2x zoom.
