BGMI 4.6 Update Coming September 16: Midnight Hunters, Ocean Odyssey, New Features and More

BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) is getting a major new update with version 4.6.0 on September 16, 2026. The update brings a brand-new supernatural experience to Erangel, the return of Ocean Odyssey, new gameplay features, seasonal content, Metro Royale updates, Home improvements, WOW additions and more.

The headline feature is the new Midnight Hunters Theme Mode, which introduces vampires, hunters, supernatural creatures and new abilities to Erangel.

BGMI 4.6 Release Date

The BGMI 4.6 update arrives on September 16, 2026. Midnight Hunters will be available from September 16 through November 16.

The update will also introduce several seasonal features throughout September and October, giving players plenty of new content to explore.

Midnight Hunters Comes to Erangel

The biggest addition in BGMI 4.6 is Midnight Hunters, a vampire-hunting themed experience set on Erangel.

Several locations receive a dark supernatural makeover, including Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka. Players can also visit the Hunter Guild at Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base, complete missions and discover new interactive elements.

The mode introduces a new Bloodline Awakening mechanic. Eliminated players can become Vampires and return to the battlefield, creating a completely different way to continue the match.

Up to 20 Vampires can be active during the mode’s scheduled windows.

New Vampire Abilities and Creatures

Vampires come with their own abilities, including:

• Claw Strike
• Absorb
• Crimson Sense
• Amber Form

Players will also encounter several new supernatural enemies, including Bloodwalkers, Nightbats and the Vampire Elder.

The Nightkeeper NPC will also appear at the Hunter Guild and can provide materials and additional interactions.

New Themed Items

Midnight Hunters adds several special items designed around the new gameplay mechanics.

The Hunter Bandage provides faster recovery, while the Silvermoon Chain can be used against supernatural creatures and also offers mobility and defensive capabilities.

The Twilight Bat Wings introduce aerial movement, allowing players to fly across the battlefield.

Other themed items include the Scarlet Tonic, Crimson Pact, Moonshadow Refactor, Pumpkin Candy Box and Halloween Candy.

Ocean Odyssey Returns September 30

Players who enjoyed the underwater-themed Ocean Odyssey will have another chance to experience it.

Ocean Odyssey returns to Erangel on September 30, 2026, and will remain available until November 16. It will run alongside Midnight Hunters rather than replacing it.

Classic Mode Gets New Features

BGMI 4.6 also brings several improvements to Classic BR gameplay.

Players will get:

• Custom Garage Tracked Amphicarrier
• Interactive Lockers
• Channel Buoys
• Floating Supply Crates
• Parachute Auto-Glide
• Improved In-Match Shop
• Erangel In-Match Missions

The update also includes improvements to the ACE32, including recoil and firing stability changes, along with adjustments to 7.62mm rifles.

New Seasons and Competitive Content

Classic Season 31 begins September 19 and runs until November 19, bringing new rank rewards and upgraded Ace Promotion Matches.

Ultimate Royale begins September 28 and runs until November 16, with additional points and no-deduction events.

The new Arena Ranked Season begins October 1 and introduces four randomized ranked modes, including Deathmatch Ranked, Rush Ranked and Capture Ranked. Top players can also earn exclusive regional titles.

Card Collection System and Social Features

Version 4.6 introduces a new Card Collection System, including a Combat Power system and an annual upgrade gun, the JS9 Lv.5.

Players will also see improvements to the creation camera and Album, along with features such as Flash Crew, One-Tap Team-Up, Squad Tags and Squad Chat.

Returning-player features and Quick Match Lobby improvements are also part of the update.

Rewarded Ads for Free Rewards

BGMI 4.6 introduces rewarded advertisements for eligible players.

Players can watch short ads to receive free in-game rewards. The initial implementation includes the ability to obtain a Soldier’s Crate through the Deals > UC Purchase menu, with availability and rollout expanding gradually.

Metro Royale Chapter 34

Metro Royale Chapter 34 begins September 16 and runs through November 16.

The chapter introduces the Mutant Crimson Clan Stronghold in Arctic Base, where players can fight the Crimson Clan and access valuable rewards.

A new Golden Bat Statue also appears in the Glacier Forbidden Zone, allowing players to challenge the Golden Bat for a chance at valuable items.

Home Gets a Halloween Makeover

The Home system is also getting new content with the Cyber Nexus theme and the new Shadow Feast gameplay mode.

Shadow Feast introduces two roles, Seeker and Shadow. Players can search for hidden Shadows or hide and scare other players to earn points.

Home Competitions, Home Return Crate and other Home improvements are also included.

WOW Gets Major Halloween Updates

World of Wonder is receiving a large Halloween-focused update.

The update adds new Brainrot content, including 17 new Brainrot characters, a Ghost Ship Event, Magic Broom and Halloween Token.

Creators also receive new tools and improvements, including Save/Load and Auto-Save, expanded object scaling, vehicle speed controls, water and swimming controls, VFX and UI editors, and new templates.

New templates include Treasure Hunt, RPG, Knockout Party and Rocket League, while Monster Carnival and Monster PVE add more gameplay possibilities.

Royale Pass A21

Royale Pass A21 begins September 19 and runs until November 19.

It features 100 unlockable levels, new skins and upgraded weapons, with a Bonus Pass becoming available during the second month.

BGMI 4.6 Update: Key Dates

Overall, BGMI 4.6 is shaping up to be a substantial update, combining a new vampire-themed experience with returning content, competitive seasons, new gameplay mechanics, social features, Metro Royale content, Home improvements and a major WOW expansion.

The update officially arrives on September 16, 2026.
