Nothing has officially started rolling out the Nothing OS 4.1 update on April 24, and all 7 supported phones received the update on the same day. This shows the company’s improved focus on faster and more consistent software updates.
The update is now available for the Nothing Phone (2a), Phone (2a) Plus, Phone (2), Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro.
Nothing OS 4.1 April Update
Nothing OS 4.1 brings some new features along with useful improvements. One of the key highlights is Live Updates, which now works across the lock screen, notification panel, and Glyph Interface. It helps users track things like navigation in real time.
The update also introduces a new Community Edition lock screen clock, offering a fresh design and animation. Along with this, the Essential Notifications UI has been redesigned, making it cleaner and easier to use. The system can now also suggest important notifications automatically.
Missing Features
Despite these additions, some expected features are still missing. Features like Depth Effect, AI Eraser in Gallery, Breaking Break widgets, and advanced lock screen customization have not been included in this update.
Also, recently the Nothing Phone (3) also got the Nothing OS 4.1 April Update, but it didn’t get new features.
Improvements and Fixes
Nothing OS 4.1 mainly focuses on improving performance and fixing issues. It includes better system stability, bug fixes, improved camera performance, and fixes for notification panel and Quick Settings issues.
All devices also receive the April 2026 Android security patch, improving overall security.
Nothing OS 4.1 is more of a refinement update rather than a major upgrade. However, rolling it out to 7 devices on the same day is impressive and shows Nothing’s growing commitment to timely updates.
