Nothing has started rolling out the new Nothing OS 4.1 May update for the Nothing Phone (4a). The latest update comes with several camera improvements, a new AI-powered Essential Voice feature, better system stability, and the May 2026 Android security patch.
The update size is around 366 MB and is currently rolling out in batches.
One of the major highlights of this update is the new Essential Voice feature. It is an AI-powered speech-to-text tool that can clean up voice transcriptions, remove filler words, translate speech, and even create structured notes automatically.


The update also brings multiple camera improvements. According to the changelog, users can expect:

- Optimised colour rendering for more vivid photos
Apart from camera enhancements, Nothing has also added support for lock screen depth effects on Atmosphere wallpapers. The company says setup and upgrade stability has also been improved for a smoother experience.
