OnePlus Pad Lite Specs and Images Leak Ahead of Launch
OnePlus recently launched its powerful OnePlus Pad 3 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Now, a new rumor suggests that the company’s next tablet will be called the OnePlus Pad Lite.
According to the leak, the OnePlus Pad Lite will be powered by the Helio G100 processor. It will run on Android 15 with OxygenOS 15.0.1 on top. The tablet is said to feature an 11-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which should provide smooth scrolling and better visuals.
Inside, the OnePlus Pad Lite will pack a large 9,340 mAh battery, although details about its charging speed are still unknown. The device is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Other memory options might be announced later.
For photography and video calls, the OnePlus Pad Lite will reportedly have two 5MP cameras—one on the front and one on the back. The tablet will be available in both cellular and Wi-Fi versions to suit different needs.
In terms of design, the OnePlus Pad Lite will weigh about 539 grams and measure 254.9 x 166.5 x 7.4 mm. The device is rumored to come in a stylish Aero Blue color. OnePlus is also expected to offer a matching folio cover that can be used as a kickstand.
So far, OnePlus has not officially confirmed any details about the OnePlus Pad Lite. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement.
Himanshu Tandon, the head of POCO India, has stepped down from his role and is likely to join the smartphone company Nothing in August. According to a report by Moneycontrol, he is expected to lead Nothing’s CMF division.
Tandon was part of the founding team of POCO and became the head of its India operations in 2022. He worked under Sandeep Singh Arora, Xiaomi India’s Chief Business Officer, who joined the company from Samsung earlier this year.
This is the second major leadership change at Xiaomi India in less than a year. Earlier, in November 2024, Xiaomi India’s President Muralikrishnan B also left the company.
Xiaomi Faces Market Challenges, POCO Shows Growth
Tandon’s exit comes as Xiaomi is facing tough times in India. In the second quarter of 2025, the company’s smartphone shipments dropped by 25% compared to last year, falling to 5 million units. Its market share also dropped from 18% to 13%.
Despite this, POCO performed well. It increased its share of Xiaomi’s shipments in India from 30% to 41%, with 2.03 million units sold. According to Canalys, POCO’s success came from targeting Gen Z users, offering gaming features, and growing offline sales through JioMart Digital.
Tandon Likely to Lead Nothing’s CMF Division
Tandon is expected to join Nothing’s affordable and design-focused brand CMF. The London-based company recently shifted its global marketing team to India.
Nothing’s CMF brand, led by company co-founder Akis Evangelidis in India, has seen fast growth — 229% in Q2 — thanks to products like the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Phone 3a series.
Both Xiaomi and Nothing are expected to officially announce Tandon’s move in the coming days.
Xiaomi has officially ended development for HyperOS 2 and is now fully focused on building HyperOS 3, according to a user report from Xiaomi’s Feedback app.
Goodbye HyperOS 2, Hello HyperOS 3
All eligible Xiaomi devices have already received the HyperOS 2 update, and the company has confirmed there will be no further improvement updates for it. Instead, Xiaomi’s development team is now working hard to ensure that HyperOS 3, based on Android 16, is ready on time.
Although Xiaomi hasn’t shared a launch date yet, the upcoming OS may be called HyperOS 26, to match the release year (2026).
What to Expect from HyperOS 3
Xiaomi says HyperOS 3 will bring several improvements, including:
- Smoother animations
- Better system responsiveness
- Refreshed user interface (UI)
- An overall improved user experience
However, many of these enhancements sound a bit general, and more details are expected in the coming months.
Nine Phones Losing Support
As Xiaomi moves forward, it’s also ending software support for nine older devices, which will receive their last security patch in September 2025:

- Redmi A1+
- Poco C50
- Xiaomi 11T
- Xiaomi 11T Pro
- Mi 11 Lite 5G NE
- Mi 11 LE
- Poco M5
- Redmi 11 Prime 4G
After this final update, these phones will no longer receive official security or system updates.
Samsung is reportedly changing its strategy for software updates. Going forward, the company will give priority to its foldable phones, like the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series, when rolling out major One UI updates.
This shift became clear when Samsung launched One UI 8 — based on Android 16 — with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, even though Android 16 hasn’t been officially released yet. Many thought this was just a one-time surprise, but it now seems to be part of a new update policy.
According to popular tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will now launch its latest foldables with the newest Android versions and updated One UI features. Meanwhile, its Galaxy S series will receive incremental updates, rather than being the first to get new software.
Although the Galaxy S phones may not get updates first, Samsung is expected to provide them with more stable and refined versions of the software. This means that while foldables will test out new UI designs, AI tools, and software improvements first, Galaxy S devices will get a more polished and smoother experience later on.
